"Redefining an open space"
Pliops is an Israeli startup founded in 2017 specializing in hardware-based storage. The company’s breakthrough technology led to fast growth and the need for new offices. The company moved from an intimate yet private space where the team was separated by closed rooms.
Our response to their new space was to develop a module partitioning system containing space in a free form and more social way, allowing for flexibility and a balance between open and closed space.
Through the design process various partitioning systems were explored and developed, the resulting design incorporated decorative glass which was selected to allow transparency as this was deemed as essential to fostering connections between the growing and dynamic team. Timber was also an important material choice which adds warmth and tactility to the space.
The sitting units replete with white boards are nestled between the partitions adding an informal way to share and examine ideas. The sitting units are also designed as flexible areas that can be converted to additional working stations in the future.
The resulting space feels both casual and private at the same time- perfectly reflecting the social and sophisticated identity of our client.
