"We become aware of the void as we fill it"
-Antonio Porchia
Creative Labs is a software company which incorporates two sister companies that were united into one. The first is called "VisuaLed", a company developing LCD screens and solutions. The second is a small start-up company developing the artistic content shown through technological medias.
At the beginning of the design concept building, it was clear that the concept of the project had to be a canvas to the company's artwork. One that respects the life and personality that the product and content portray. The project consists of clean lines and a soft usage of materials. The layout consists of a large showroom where the client allowed us to dream and imagine how the products are shown. We created a unique piece of artwork using Poplar wood carpentry that repeats a rhythm and creates a system of bits and pieces of materials and their void creating a space. And therefore, it was important for us that this becomes a home not only for the products but for the workers working on them, so the entrance piece became almost house salon like, allowing shelving and seats throughout and within the wood partition. This wood partition later repeats itself in a small touch of detail on the reception desk across.
Along with the concept, it was important to find the correct materials that will make this place feel home for the people. And so, we used wood parquet flooring in the meeting rooms, colorful and sophisticated fabrics, and we made sure the kitchen is warm and inviting yet modern.
The concept, the materials and all of the carpentry helped us create the dream. A canvas for the painters.
